New Project - ESCALA Fountain Pen

Dear Backers,
We are very excited to share with you our new project- a fountain pen with a scale-ruler cap graded with 12 metric and imperial scales. ESCALA is machined from a solid block of aluminum anodized in matte black. It comes equipped with German-made nib of the highest quality and an ink converter for bottled ink.

First of all, we would like to thank you for your patience.
Shipping
We are excited to let you know that we will start shipping your pens on Monday, September 24. If you have recently moved or would like to change your shipping address you can still do it on your Backekit survey until Friday, September 21. After this date, we will not allow any changes. If you do not have the link to access your survey, please send us a Kickstarter private message and we will send you the survey link.
In the past, we have used a third party company to ship rewards but this has resulted in various problems including missing items, poor packaging, and wrong items. For these reasons, we have decided to fulfill all rewards ourselves. All nibs/pens will be tested, inspected, and cleaned before shipping. We have 1,400 packages to send and we estimate that we can send between 60 and 100 each day. This process will take us about 20 days. As soon as we have shipped your package you will receive your USPS (United States Postal Service) tracking number. If you have not received your number it means that we have not shipped your pen. All orders will be shipped via standard post. We cannot ship via courier services like DHL, UPS or FedEx as it is cost prohibitive. The cost of shipping an international package would be more than what you paid for the pen. Once shipped, domestic packages would take 3-5 days to arrive while international packages can take up to 3 weeks to arrive depending on customs clearance and the efficiency of the local postal service.

If you purchased an optional clip, please watch this video so you can properly install it without damaging the surface of your pen. We will not replace any pens that scratch when inserting the clip.

Dear Backers,
We would like to inform you that we have to move the delivery date to the end of September (a two-month delay). Although we have machined all pens and clips, we are standing in line to receive the nibs from our German partner. They have a few orders ahead of us and they will close their office for the summer. We know that many of you will be very disappointed about this delay but there is nothing we can really do about it. We usually receive nibs 3 months after we place the order (that is what we calculated when launched the campaign) but in this case, it turned out to be 5 months.
We are really sorry for the delay and are looking forward to shipping these beautiful pens to you.
